嚴格來講，srs audio sandbox是一款專門為個人電腦音頻系統進行超級效果增強的軟體。它提供了令人歎為觀止的環繞音效，並專門針對普遍使用的2.1桌面揚聲器進行了從量到質的優化。
特殊的動圈高、中、低、重低音加強效果為你打造天籟般的音質，無論你電腦中任何音樂、視頻、游戲或是都提供了特殊的定制預設。
srs的特點是可以用2.1只音箱來營造出一個逼真的全360度環繞立體聲場，而且這系統適用於所有雙聲道的音源，包括所有立體聲及簡單環繞聲，或包含有其它系統編碼的音源。
更重要的是，對於只擁有單聲道音源的老款筆記本等，srs audio sandbox也有一個名為3d mono的模擬立體回放技術。
